At the second meeting of the Steering Committee, the contract with the ATG Giurgiu Shipyard was signed, for the provision of dredging equipment, which will contain the following: a dredge, two split-barges, a technical assistance vessel and a pontoon for the installation to load the split-barges.
The dredge is without an engine, but equipped with a moving installation, has a capacity of 700 cubic meters per hour. the on-board equipment ensures to monitored the dredging pressure and positioning. They are state-of-the-art equipment, being developed and sized by a company with experience in this activity.
- The design of the technical assistance vessel is presented and it is specified that it will be used for mounting the discharge pipeline, as well. The split-barges are without an engine, with a capacity of 400 m3 and will transport the dredged material.
- The pontoon will have a pillar lifting system, which will be used to be position.
- The discharge pipe will be of a maximum 500 m, given that the analysis of the area showed that no longer length is needed.
